To apply for a tourist visa, the following documents are required:

1. Confirmation of the admission of a foreign tourist or confirmation of booking a place in a hotel;

   Confirmation of the admission of a foreign tourist is a document issued by an organization, information about which is contained in the Unified Federal Register of Tour Operators.

   Confirmation of booking a place in a hotel is a document issued by a hotel or other accommodation facility, information about which is contained in the Unified List of Hotels and Other Accommodation Facilities.

2. A foreign passport with at least 2 blank pages for visas, the validity of which ends no earlier than 6 months after the expiration of the visa;
3. Visa application form filled out on the website visa.kdmid.ru, printed out and signed by the applicant personally;
4. A 3.5×4.5 cm color photograph on a light background with a clear full-face image without tinted or dark glasses and without a headdress (except for citizens who, by virtue of their national or religious affiliation, are depicted in a headdress in the passport photo). At the visa center you can take a photo for a visa (additional service);
5. A medical insurance policy with the amount of medical services coverage of at least 30,000 € or an equivalent amount in another currency, valid on the territory of the Russian Federation and covering the validity period of the visa, except in cases based on reciprocity. The policy can be issued in English or Russian.

Pay attention! The consular institution has the right to request additional documents for visa processing, invite for an interview or extend the visa processing period.

Pay attention! Foreign citizens must additionally provide a residence permit in Georgia.

*The specified processing period is indicative. The processing starts on the next working day of the Consular Section of the Russian Federation Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia after submitting documents at the Visa Application Center.

The Visa Application Center cannot guarantee that the documents are ready by a certain deadline.

Most applications are considered within 10 working days, starting from the next working day of the Consular Section of the Russian Federation Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia after submitting documents at the Visa Application Center.

**If an international treaty of the Russian Federation and the applicant's country of citizenship establishes special processing period of visa applications and special amounts of consular fees, or provides visa fee waiver, the conditions of the international treaty are applied to the visa application of such an applicant.

Completing the Russian visa application form

The application form for a Russian visa should be filled out in electronic form on the website of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry: https://visa.kdmid.ru.

At your request, we can fill out the application form for you at the visa center. This is a paid additional service worth 15 GEL for each page of the application form. For Georgian citizens the application form usually consists of three pages.

We do not recommend you to employ paid services of third parties (organizations and individuals) for filling out application forms. Often they provide overpriced poor services, give false information about the visa application process and make mistakes, which can require re-filling of the application form.

A separate application form must be completed for each applicant.

If you are going to fill out the application form by yourself, we recommend you the following:

1. Read carefully and follow the instructions and tooltips on the website.
2. Citizens of Georgia, Australia and CIC must complete electronic visa application form in Russian (except for the name ad surname, which must be indicated in Latin letters according to the passport).
3. When registering a new application form, create a password consisting only of Latin letters and numbers.
4. Write down the password and number of your application from, which will be assigned to it automatically. Take your number and password with you to the visa center. The number and password will be useful if you need to print the form or make corrections, so as not to fill out the entire form again.
5. Name and surname spelling must strictly correspond to the data of your passport.
6. Specify the purpose of your travel, duration of the visa and number of entries, the data of the host person or organization (name, date of birth, address) must correspond to the invitation.
7. You can request a smaller number of entries (for example, instead of multiple or double-entry request a single-entry visa). Please inform our officer about it when submitting documents, and our officer will give you a special application form for reduction the number of entries.
8. Enter information about your previous trips to Russia and other foreign countries according to exit-entry stamps in your passport.
9. At the final step of completing the application form choose the place of submission of the application — Visa Application Center Interlink Services (Tbilisi).
10. After filling out the application form on the website, print it out in one copy and take it to the visa center.
11. If you do not have a printer, we can print out your application form at the price of 2 GEL per sheet.
